It's official!!

Dear Miss Maddison- official
I cannot BELIEVE we have only known you, my precious girl, for only 7 months. The whole thought that I have only been a Mommy for just 7 months literally makes me feel like I have a memory loss issue!? I cannot remember a time where I wasn't with you. I seriously forget that you are adopted... and I KNOW I have said that a hundred thousand times... but it's truly how I feel. I know it sounds unreal to believe, and the only way I can even begin to describe how it feels to have a 3 year old daughter, only have been a Mommy for 7 months, but insist that you are 110,000% mine... is to say that it was God's plan,  his divine will, and my heart knows this to be true. There is no other way I can describe it... none.

I have said this a hundred thousand times, but I have loved you Maddison, since the first time I laid eyes on you.  I believe you were mine before I ever even knew about you. My heart was made whole on 11/17/2013. So, I am incredibly honored and super thankful to say that the long 7 month journey for  you to be "officially" our daughter, is over today! We are signing the final paperwork this morning, and you will officially be a Haley!! It brings tears to my eyes to think that I don't have to worry about you being taken away from me. I have struggled with the feeling that "something could go wrong" or that I am being  judged... and really without any reason for it, other than it's just a completely different realm than the "norm". It's been a struggle for me to know in my heart that I am your Mommy, yet know that's not how it has been seen "officially". And today I just want to shout it from the roof tops that I AM MADDISON GRACE HALEY'S MOMMY!!! Just know, that years from now when you read this, you will never have to question  how I felt on this day... because this day is one for the books. You may be the only child God blesses me with, and I am gonna take full advantage of loving every ounce of you, and that is a PROMISE! ;)

So, Miss Maddison Grace Haley...
Oh the life we have have planned for you... oh the places you will go... oh the things you will see, do, and learn... oh the possibilities that are yours for the taking. It's no secret that you are a very special little girl, you were made special from the moment you arrived in this world, and it should not come by any surprise to hear that you are priceless and remain so very loved by so many people. But, always remember nobody loves you more than me! Well, your Daddy might argue with me a bit on that last statement (LOL) so... nobody loves you more than Mommy AND Daddy!!  ;)

Love you forever my "Lil' Pookie", my "Pumpkin Smoochie",  my Daughter!! (officially)

July 4th: Gone Camping

Grandma Sherri & Papa Steve invited Daddy, Maddi, and Mommy to go camping with them in their camper for the holiday weekend. So we geared up for a fun trip!!!

 Day One (7/03)

Road trip to camp ground with Grandma Sherri & Papa Steve. We got the camper setup and went to dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant.
We showed Maddison the man that has been waiting a LONG time for a table.
Photo Op with Grandma & Papa in front of the lake.

 Day two (7/04)

Happy Fourth of July!!!

We got on our Red, White, and Blue and went site seeing!!!
We went to a park and played while we waited for it to get dark. Maddi met a little girl on the swings and they played for the longest time giggling and singing Frozen songs. LOL They decided they "must be best friends" because they both like the color purple. LOL
FIREWORKS!!! This was the first time we saw fireworks with Maddi, and she LOVED it! Grandma and Papa gave Maddi a pair of glow in the dark earrings (that she loved) and she had her twinkle wand (since sparklers in the packed park scared me) We ate some candy from the candy shop we stopped at earlier in the day, and she munched on Grandma's grapes.

Day three (7/05)

We went to breakfast at Papa, Grandma, and Daddy's favorite little diner, and then took a horse drawn wagon ride through the canyons, altogether. Maddi loved it, but when the guide stopped to talk about the history, Maddi got stir crazy and would start to loose interest. She had nap time in her "fort" AKA Grandma and Papa's closet... silly girl!!! We played games with Grandma and turned out, Maddi was best friends with the girl camping next door also!? Only problem was, she spoke 90% Polish and 10% English! As I watched them play and try to communicate, I noticed Maddi didn't mind that she was speaking another language half the time. LOL There was a lot of pointing and confused looks... but once they found out they both liked Santa Claus... they were inseparable!!! She taught the little girl how to say slide and swings, while the little girl taught us how to say please and thank you. ***Which we forgot how to say already...ooopppsssie***

Day four (7/06)

Woke Maddi up, and the first thing she says as she popped up, "Where's that little girl???"
It was hard getting her to dress and eat before busting out of the camper to go play with her.
They played and I took them to the park. My favorite thing about this day was that they were so happy to play together that I just sat on the swings and watched them. At one point, the little girl pointed at me and told Maddi "You Mommy on swings. My Mommy not swing." Maddi's response as she looked at me, "Yea, Mommy is silly and likes to swing with me... sometimes." (followed by a giggle fit)
It was a sad goodbye between the new friends, and as we head to bed now she is STILL talking about her to Daddy. LOL

Here are a few snaps from on the way home. We stopped by an underground tunnel/cavern that connects a restaurant and hotel, and a HUGE old military plane. Maddi enjoyed trying to fly it!!!

Happy Fourth of July Everyone!!!
